Case Review
Your consultation begins with a detailed review of your pet’s submitted history. During this stage we:

• Review previous treatments and diagnostics
• Discuss symptom progression
General Physical Exam
Skin disease is often closely linked to your pet’s overall health. A complete physical examination is performed to assess general health.
This helps ensure we are evaluating your pet as a whole, not just the skin.
Advanced Dermatologic Assessment
A detailed skin examination is then performed. Over 20 specific dermatologic regions are carefully evaluated during this process.
The following in-house diagnostic tests are included with your initial consultation fee :
Cytology (Microscopic Skin Analysis)
Skin Scrapes
Fine Needle Aspirate Biopsy
Flea Comb
Burton UV502 Wood’s Lamp
Trichogram (Hair Pluck)
Depending on your pet’s condition, additional diagnostics may be required (not included in the consultation fee).

Urinanalysis
Blood Tests
Culture and Sensitivity
Fungal Culture
Biopsy
Consultation Length
Advanced dermatology consultations are significantly longer than standard veterinary appointments due to the detailed nature of chronic skin and ear disease investigations.

In many chronic cases, a definitive diagnosis is not made on the first visit.
Our initial priority is to improve comfort, reduce inflammation, and control secondary infections before advanced investigations begin.
