By involving us early in the disease process our aim is to get these difficult cases under control so your clients remain happy and supported, and continue returning to you for all non-dermatologic aspects of patient care.

Many dermatologic patients however have concurrent systemic disease processes (allergies, endocrine disorders, nutritional imbalances , autoimmune disease etc) that contribute to ongoing skin pathology. Identifying and managing these underlying factors is part of our management process.

While DermaVet TT offers allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT), patients must first undergo a full dermatologic work up to establish an appropriate diagnosis and address pruritus.

Serology tests cannot be used to diagnose atopic dermatitis or food allergies.

Instead, testing is typically considered after a diagnosis has already been established and pruritus has been appropriately managed, to help formulate ASIT plans in appropriately selected patients.
